Many of my trainees who struggle with food, eating, body image also struggle with emotional wellness. Very often during the sign-up stage of my program, they express "I reach out for a tub of ice-cream when I am stressed out". "How do I overcome binge eating?" Holistic Well-being - Emotional Health is a vital aspect.



In the pursuit of health and wellness, we often focus on physical fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle habits. While these factors are undoubtedly important, one aspect that is sometimes overlooked is emotional wellness. Yet, emotional well-being plays a crucial role in our overall health and vitality. Emotional health refers to

  • our general mood

  • feeling full range of emotions: but also having more positive than negative emotions

  • recognising and appropriately expressing emotions

  • regulating your emotions; being able to respond to emotional challenges in a resilient and productive way

Emotional wellbeing refers to the ability to understand and manage our emotions effectively. It involves being aware of our feelings, expressing them appropriately, and coping with stress and challenges in healthy ways. Emotional wellness encompasses a range of factors, including self-esteem, resilience, social connections, and emotional intelligence.
